• Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Camille P. Stamatakos, TRICARE operations and patient administration flight chief for the 60th Medical Support Squadron at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif., retired Oct. 28, 2016, after 20 years of service.
Her awards include the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal.
She is the daughter of Gloria Palacol of Hilo and is a graduate of Hilo High School.
• Air Force Airman Colin O. Calip graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Calip is the son of Stefanie F. Schomaker and Clyde M. Calip of Mountain View. He is a 2016 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Hawaii.
