Kira Parker

Kira Parker

Sport: swimming

Parker shared this honor with two of her teammates last season.

Somehow, someway, she managed to outshine every other Hawaii Prep swimmer Saturday at the BIIF championships, even as Ka Makani dominated.

Eight BIIF records went down at the meet, and Parker had a hand in four of them, including in the 100-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke, taking home four gold medals.

This Saturday, Parker and HPA set their sights on Punahou at the state championships.

What makes you happy: I love being around energetic and happy people. All of my teammates are like this and being around them makes me extremely happy. A good taper before a meet is always nice as well.
