Born in Kohala, he was a self-employed coffee and macadamia nut farmer, U.S. Army World War II veteran and aircraft mechanic, and member of Kona Lions Club, Ilocano Ancestry Club and American Legion. Visitation 7-9:30 a.m. Thursday (March 2) at St. John’s Catholic Church in Kealakekua. Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Aloha attire; no flowers. Megumi Yugawa, 91, of Pepeekeo died Feb. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired mechanic for HT&T, member of Hilo Coast United Church of Christ in Honomu and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts).
