Hilo’s Isaiah Kanno won the boys 13-14 division Sunday at a Hawaii State Golf Association Junior Tour Series 14-under event on Maui.

Hilo’s Isaiah Kanno won the boys 13-14 division Sunday at a Hawaii State Golf Association Junior Tour Series 14-under event on Maui.

Kanno carded rounds of 77 and 84 at Kahili Golf Course to finish at 17-over for a five-stroke victory.

Hilo golfers took the Nos. 2-3 spots in boys 11-13, with Dysen Park finishing second at 17-over (77-84), eight shots ahead of Aukahi Lapera.

Hilo’s Lacey Uchida was runner-up in girls 11-12 at 12-over 156. Hilo’s Chanelle Hwang (179) and Kailey Oki (186) were fifth and sixth, respectively.

In girls 7-10, Sophie Chikako Christopher of Waimea took second at 38-over, which was four strokes off the pace.

The other Big Islander in the field was Hilo’s Aidan Oki, who was sixth in boys 13-14 at 33-over.
