Betty Chow Hoy of Hilo recently celebrated her 99th birthday with family and friends from the Big Island and Oahu at the ‘Imiloa Sky Garden Restaurant. Chow Hoy, still an avid reader, attributes her long life to keeping her mind and body active. She is a retired Bank of Hawaii executive secretary and member of United Community Church for more than 75 years. Her family always looked forward to her homemade dinners and delicious cookies.
