Herman Costa Sr., 85, of Hilo died April 5 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired seed cutter with the former Mauna Kea Sugar Co. and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Friends can call 9-11 a.m. Thursday (April 13) at the Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. followed by burial at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire; no flowers.
