Nelda Mae Bishop, 86, of Ocean View died March 27 at home. Born in Denver, she was a housewife and member of the Senior Citizens Group in Ocean View. Private services held. Survived by son, Craig Bishop of Ocean View; daughter, Gail (Richard) Abbey of Kiowa, Colo.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two nieces, two nephews and several cousins. Larry Glenn Cooper, 62, of Kailua-Kona died April 7 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired hospital maintenance engineer and U.S. Navy veteran. Committal service with honors at noon Friday, May 5, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. A motorcycle “Memorial Run” is slated for 10 a.m. Sunday, April 30, beginning at The Fish Hopper in Kailua-Kona. Mary Jane Alcera Gines, 70, of Hilo died March 29 at the Legacy of Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired macadamia nut sorter for the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company and was associated with the Hilo Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. Monday (April 24) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Valentine Gines Sr. of Hilo and David Gines of Cincinnati; daughters, Glory (Matthew) Jacobs of Waimea and Cheryl (Ronald) Goodknecht of Ewa Beach, Oahu; brother, Anthony Garo of Oahu; sister, Gloria (Denny) Valentin of Keaau; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
