Katsuki Kubo, 89, of Hilo died April 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahoa, he was a retired teacher at Keaau Middle School, former macadamia nut farmer and member of University Heights Kumiai. Survived by wife, Jane Kubo of Hilo; sons, Bryce Kubo of Keaau and Earl (Jody) Kubo of Honolulu; daughter, Janelle Kubo of Honolulu; sister, Namie Kurihara of Honolulu; sisters-in-law, Hisayo Kubo of Pahoa and Marylei Kubo of Honolulu; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The late Benjamin Naboa Notario was survived by, among others, companion, Bibiana Felipe of Naalehu; son, Brian Notario of Wisconsin; daughter, Rhoda (Joaquin) Favela of Honolulu; sister, Rosario Nivera of Honolulu.
