Roy Takenori Chikuami, 99, of Hilo, died April 13 at the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired owner of the former Tiny Town, member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and avid gardener. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Preceded in death by son, Allan Chikuami. Survived by wife, Fujie Chikuami of Hilo; son, Roger Chikuami of Arcadia, Calif.; daughter, Karen Chikuami (Dale Tangeman) of Issaquah, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Chikuami of Pasadena, Calif.; brother-in-law, Eiji (Sadame) Sato of Woodland Hills, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Hideko Shigematsu of Honokaa and Eiko Hokama of Hilo; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Reynold Manuel Crivello, 70, of Hilo died March 19 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired telephone facilities technician for Hawaiian Telephone Company and a U.S. Navy veteran. He also was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Visitation 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday (May 6) at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Sabino Alonso Mwarey Sr., 67, of Hilo, died April 16 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Hospice Care Center. Born in Micronesia, he was a food service director in Micronesia and at Food Bank of Hawaii and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. All-night vigil starting at 4:30 p.m. Friday (May 5) at the family home in Hawaiian Paradise Park. Visitation continues 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday (May 6) at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
