The Big Island Substance Abuse Council is partnering with Malama Pono Event LLC for their first Mother’s Day Extravaganza Gift and Craft Fair from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Sangha Hall in Hilo.
The event is a fundraiser for BISAC and will feature some of the best crafters and food vendors on the island. The admission fee is $2 with all proceeds benefiting BISAC. Among the vendors are Salti Gear Lemonade, Ahuoloa Farms, Far East Trader, Toyo Hawaii and Akua Bless Boutique.
Kim Sasaki of Malama Pono has organized the successful Christmas Extravaganza that takes place in December.
“One of the main reasons why I continue to provide these fairs is to ensure that crafters and artists have a venue to sell their products,” Sasaki said. “This is another opportunity during the year to experience such an amazing event with a great cause.”
“I’m truly excited about this craft fair,” said BISAC Chief Executive Officer Dr. Hannah Preston-Pita. “Our craft fair will be a one-stop shop to find that perfect gift for mothers.”
Since 1964, BISAC has been inspiring individuals and families to reclaim and enrich their lives through substance abuse counseling in a nonthreatening environment.
