Frank Santiago, 87, of Hawi died April 20 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation &Nursing Center. Born in Halawa, North Kohala, he was an owner of a mom-and-pop auto body repair shop, crane operator for the former Kohala Sugar Co. and member of Kohala Puerto Rican Association and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation 8:30-9:45 a.m. Saturday (May 27) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Urn burial to follow at church cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Frank R. Santiago of Maui and Steven (Lydia) Santiago of Hilo; sisters, Ramona Pacheco of Hilo and Christine Texeira of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
