A traffic project on Highway 130 is being delayed after a permit expired, according to the state Department of Transportation.

A traffic project on Highway 130 is being delayed after a permit expired, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The Keaau-Pahoa Road shoulder lane conversion and Shower Drive intersection improvement project is now estimated to be complete in mid-November instead of August.

Work will resume in early June, according to the department.

The contractor began work on phase two of the project in January using a permit obtained for phase one.
