HONOLULU (AP) — A Hawaii man accused of stabbing his wife to death has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge.
Marcelo Carcamo-Lopez, 41, was charged with second-degree murder Thursday in Meriam Carcamo’s death, according to local media reports.
Honolulu police arrested Carcamo-Lopez on Tuesday after he returned to the Makiki apartment he shared with his wife and her teenage son.
Police believe Carcamo-Lopez had an argument with his wife before he stabbed her multiple times.
“My coworker
told me to get a divorce, but, oh
man, why today, she punch my face, so I stab (sic) her,” Carcamo-Lopez said in a police declaration.
