According to a release, the Yeshua Boxing Club, with more than 70 current members, is dedicated to building character, teaching respect and developing champions in a drug-free environment.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for ages 11-17, with children under 10 free. A food concessions will be provided, and all proceeds go to the outreach center.
The gym is located on the corner of Pohaku Circle and Pahoa Highway (halfway between Kaloli and Paradise avenues).

Softball tourne honors cancer fight
The fourth annual Battling for Cancer Softball Tournament will be held Aug. 26-27 at Walter Victor Stadium.
The entry fee is $200, and teams must provide their own 14-inch softballs.

HPA ID soccer camp in June
A soccer ID camp will be held June 26-30 at Hawaii Prep’s varsity field.
Ages 13-18 will camp from 8 a.m.-1 p.m., and ages 5-12 will go from 9 a.m.-noon.
The camp director is San Diego Club Director Jeff Illingworth. The other staff members are: head coach, Tim Von Steeg (UC Santa Barbara men’s head coach); goalkeeper coach, Trenton Painter (UC San Diego goalkeeper coach) and coach Jennifer Jacques (Kona Crush staff).

Special Olympics golf season set
The Special Olympics East Hawaii Golf season will begin June 16 and the program is in its 10th year, with practices held every Friday through Aug. 25 at Banyans Golf Club.
A golf tournament will be held Aug. 27.

’Rider runs at finals
Running for Emory-Riddle, Kealakehe graduate Keili Dorn finished 15th in the 5,000-meter run at the NAIA track and field championships Saturday in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Dorn, a sophomore, qualified Friday in 18 minutes, 38.64 seconds, then ran 19:23.76 a day later in the 16-runner final.
