Police are seeking an inmate who allegedly escaped Tuesday night from Hale Nani Reintegration Center just south of Hilo.
Joshua White, who was missing at a 9 p.m. head count, is 26-years old, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.
He was on community custody status, pending trial for violating probation on a conviction for second-degree theft and driving a stolen vehicle.
Anyone who sees White or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
