Warner “Jojo” Glenn Akamu, 63, of Ka‘u died May 3 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, musician and Little League baseball coach. Norita “Lei” Kuulei Cross, 75, of Kealakekua died May 18 at home. Born in Wahiawa, Oahu, she was a homemaker. Services held. Nobuyuki “Nobu” Fukushima, 86, of Hilo died June 16 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired machinist, worked for the former Hawaiian Equipment, Hilo Coast Processing Co., and Yamada Transfer, and was a U.S. Army veteran and member of Hilo Meishoin. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Wednesday (June 28) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire.
