Judy Rae Eslit, 73, of Waimea died July 5 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Cleveland, she was a homemaker who loved animals, knitting and her family. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by husband, Marcos Eslit Sr. of Waimea; son, Marcos Eslit Jr. of Kapolei, Oahu; daughters, Petra (Kekai) Kaleleiki of Waimea and Angelina Eslit of Kapolei; brother, James Manley of Michigan; sister, Jane Williams; nine grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mutsuko “Boots” Higashi, 95, of Honokaa, formerly of Honolulu, died June 26 at home. Born in Ahualoa, Honokaa, she was a retired accounting supervisor for RCA Global Communications and former volunteer at Kuakini Medical Center. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Tuesday (July 18) at the Honokaa Hongwanji Mission. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Survived by sister, Itsue Hino of Ahualoa; sister-in-law, Shigeko Higashi of Hilo; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

James Raleigh Hill, 96, of Hilo, formerly of Kihei, Maui, died July 2 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in French Lick, Ind., he was a retired accountant and real estate broker. Private services. Survived by son, Richard (Audrey) Hill of Hilo; daughter, Marian (Fred) Elliott of Santa Ana, Calif.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Lorna “Mima” Morene Lorenzo, 73, of Pahoa died July 7 at home. Born in Mill Valley, Calif., she was a homemaker. Services at a later date.
