Hilo’s Chicas grabbed a runner-up finished at the girls edition of the Davis Legacy College Showcase earlier in the month in California before moving on to the Pleasanton Rage showcase, where they finished 3-1.

Alyeemomi Amaral registered the Chicas’ only goal on the club team’s only loss, and Miya Clarke led the way by scoring in each of the victories, netting five goals in all.

Jayden Clarke, Nanea Rabang, Hollie Saplan and Kalamanamana Harman also scored goals in Pleasanton.

“(The) showcase (had) no playoffs,” coach Skee Saplan said. “But trip as a whole was a great success.”
