Jacob Igawa

Jacob Igawa

Sport: baseball

Igawa offered production and intangibles as Nobu Yamauchi won its first RBI Baseball World Series.

The Waiakea senior knocked in six runs at the under-19 tournament, but perhaps more impressive is that the catcher gained his coaches’ trust and made most of the pitching calls.

“He was our cornerstone,” coach James Hirayama said.
