Police have arrested a 67-year-old Kukuihaele man who was indicted by a grand jury for a 2016 murder in Waipio Valley.
Wayne Joseph Teves was arrested without incident Monday at his Waipio Valley home and charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony.
His bail is $500,000 bail and his initial appearance is today in Hilo Circuit Court.
On March 3, 2016, a body was found partially submerged in a stream near the back of Waipio Valley. The victim was later identified as 49-year-old Thaine Ulysses Lucifer Price, also a resident of Waipio Valley.
An autopsy determined Price died from a gunshot wound to his torso.
