Coffee with a Cop allows members of the public to speak to officers in a relaxed setting, building partnerships between law enforcement and the community. Throughout the morning, officers spoke to more than 20 residents about a variety of topics.

The outreach in East Hawaii continues Oct. 4, National Coffee with a Cop Day, with Hawaii police officers available to talk story from 8-10 a.m. at the Puainako Starbucks in Hilo.
