Police arrested a man and a woman early Thursday morning after serving a search warrant at an apartment at the Country Club on Banyan Drive in Hilo.
Jack Larinaga, 51, and Crystal Meyers, 35, were arrested at about 7 a.m. after officers allegedly found almost 40 grams of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice,” slightly less than a gram of cocaine, 38.8 grams of marijuana, a small amount of prescription medication and drug paraphernalia.
Officers also confiscated almost $2,400 for possible forfeiture.
Police said the street value of the drugs was $7,500.
Larinaga was charged with first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, three counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $80,525 and he was being held at the Hilo police cellblock.
Meyers was released pending further investigation.
