The Dragons are excited to be facing someone other than Waiakea after beating the Warriors away and at home, but the Vikings are a different animal, scoring 132 points in two games.

The Warriors open a rare four-game homestand, and they could especially use a win this week with Hilo, Kamehameha and Konawaena to follow.
Waiakea’s defense played well at times last week at Honokaa, but it couldn’t make key stops when it counted.
After getting run over by Hilo last week, Ka Makani figure to be in for a much better matchup.

It’s early and the Warriors are still trying to improve, but coach Dan Lyons deemed all three of his units as being on track after the win against Keaau.
The Waveriders can’t say the same, not after 46-14 loss to Konawaena left it winless heading to September.
Kealakehe was winless last season when it went to Kamehameha and won 3-0 amid miserable conditions.
Barring bad weather Saturday, the Warriors will be hard to hold down in similar fashion after scoring 96 points the past two games.
“We aren’t preparing for an opponent, we are just trying to get better,” Lyons said.
Eight-man
Ka’u (0-1, 1-0 BIIF) at Kohala (0-1), 1 p.m.
This was the matchup to watch during the first three years of BIIF eight-man, but this time around each team is trying to keep pace with Pahoa, which beat the Trojans 32-8 last week in the only league game to date.
