Doors open at 6 p.m. and festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 20) at Sweet Cane Cafe, 48 Kamana St. in Hilo.
Enjoy a meal following a spiritual experience rooted in ancestral wisdom and tradition.
The energy of the new year is here and, as Short says, all beings are welcome to join in celebration of the new moon, miracles, manifesting, growth, change and so much more.
Anyone who wants to attend is asked to RSVP to Short via email at RabbiRachel@AhavaAina.com. There is a request for a $27 donation per person to attend, which includes dinner from Sweet Cane Cafe immediately following services.
Ahava ‘Aina, a nonprofit established by Short more than a year ago, also is preparing to take its mission into a new dimension, bringing fresh life to East Hawaii’s Jewish community by building the first synagogue on the Big Island.
Ahava ‘Aina, a blend of Hebrew and Hawaiian words that mean “loving the land,” is presently located in Mountain View and has outgrown its space.
