Born in Manila, the Philippines, he was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Akron, Ohio, and a U.S. Army veteran who loved nature and the ocean. Private interment at sea Tuesday (Sept. 26). Survived by wife, Mia; children, Del Santos and Tiffany (Gerald Smith II) Santos-Smith; stepsons, Roger and David (Marie) Zema; brother, Renato Santos; two grandchildren.
