UPDATE: Benny Rapoza was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at an Ainaloa subdivision address and booked on suspicion of robbery and unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle, according to a police log.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to find a 39-year-old Hilo man wanted for questioning in a robbery that reportedly occurred at about 2:30 p.m. today in the Panaewa neighborhood of Hilo.

Benny Rapoza, Jr., described as 5feet 6 inches, 170 pounds, brown eyes and brown hair. He has no known permanent address but frequents Hilo and Puna. Rapoza may be driving a dark green Chevy Tracker SUV with Hawaii license plates HMW 354.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
