Woodworkers from throughout Hawaii Island are encouraged to enter furniture, sculpture and finely crafted wood objects for display in the Big Island Woodworkers Invitational from Oct. 6-26 at the Wailoa Center.
Woodworkers from throughout Hawaii Island are encouraged to enter furniture, sculpture and finely crafted wood objects for display in the Big Island Woodworkers Invitational from Oct. 6-26 at the Wailoa Center.
The show, sponsored by the Hawaii Island Art Alliance, is taking place in conjunction with the annual Big Island Ukulele Guild Exhibit. There is no limit to the number of entries — entry fees apply.
The drop-off for wood entries is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 30. All entries will be handled with the greatest care and the show will be staffed at all times.
An artists’ reception is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Oct. 6. Artists are requested to bring a potluck dish. For entry forms or more information, call 933-0416 or email wailoa@yahoo.com.
Wailoa Center is free and open to the public from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday, Sunday and state holidays.
