Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home celebrated its Adult Day Health program on Sept. 21 with a Services to Seniors Day.

The event included facility tours, a presentation about the ADH program, information booths, flu shots from Longs CVS Pharmacy and keynote speaker Dr. Kimo Alameda from the Hilo Office of Aging.

“We are extremely proud of our Adult Day Health program and we want everyone to see it firsthand,” said Yukio Okutsu administrator David R. Pettijohn. “Our veterans have given so much to our country and for our freedom. We are honored to be able to give back with our ADH program.”

Located at 1180 Waianuenue Ave. in Hilo, Yukio Okutsu services all veterans, regardless of the location of service or if their unit was not in Hawaii. Yukio Okutsu comprehensive senior care services include skilled nursing, senior living, pharmacy, rehabilitation therapy and hospice services.
