The Rev. Leonard “Leon” Earl Baker, 69, of Keaau died Sept. 18 in Aurora, Colo. Born in Norfolk, Va., he was retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, served as pastor at North Windward Baptist Chapel on Oahu and Hamakua Baptist Mission and Paradise Park Baptist Church on the Big Island and was director of missions for the Big Island Baptist Association.
