Parker School in Waimea announces scholarship opportunities for the 2018-19 school year, as well as admission events in November for prospective families.
In addition to need-based financial aid which is available to all families at Parker School, the following need and merit-based scholarships are available for the 2018-19 school year:
Applications for admission, financial aid and scholarships are due Feb 5, 2018. Applicants will be notified of decisions in March.
• The Simperman Scholarship of Academic Excellence, which provides students with up to 100 percent of tuition, is available to students entering grades 6-12 with significant financial need, a strong academic record and exceptional leadership qualities or strength of character.
• The Ulu Pono Scholarship is awarded to new students entering grades 6-8 and covers 75 percent of annual tuition for students with demonstrated need.
• The Richard Smart Scholarship is awarded to students entering grades 9-12 and covers 75 percent of annual tuition. It’s awarded on the basis of exceptional academic merit and potential with significant consideration given to financial need.
Prospective families are invited to attend two admission events to see the campus, located at 65-1224 Lindsey Road, and meet faculty and students.
• K-12 Open House (adults/children welcome): 9-11 a.m. Nov. 4.
• Kindergarten and First Grade Preview (adults only): 8:15-10 a.m. Nov. 8.
