The mural was painted on a barrier wall along Old Mamalahoa Highway near the intersection of Honomu Road in downtown Honomu. The project was organized by Elizabeth Pierron, manager of the Hilo Sharks Coffee shop in Honomu, who collected money for supplies from many Honomu businesses.
