Kaneyasu “Kane” Enomoto, 90, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 25 at home. Born in Tokyo, he was a retired Japanese-language tour business owner and member of Daifukuji Soto Mission. Private service held. Mitsuo Hasegawa, 88, of Hilo died Oct. 17 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired command sergeant major of the Hawaii Army National Guard, Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 299th Infantry, Legion of Merit and the Meritorious Service Medal recipient, former Scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America Troop 31 and member of the Big Island National Guard Retirees Association, Iwalani Street Kumiai, Orchid Isle Dance Club and was involved in numerous community service projects. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 5 p.m. Cremation to follow. Private urn committal service at a later date at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). Casual attire; no flowers.
