Drivers traveling on Waianuenue Avenue should expect delays Monday as the county Department of Public Works upgrades traffic signals.
From 8 a.m.-noon, traffic signals at the intersection of Waianuenue Avenue, Kaumana Drive and Lele Street will be deactivated as workers install wireless vehicle detection sensors and reprogram the signals’ timing.
The intersection will remain open throughout the work, with off-duty police officers directing traffic. However, because delays are likely, drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
