Hospice to help cope with grief
Hospice of Hilo will be offering “Grief and the Holiday Season,” a free community presentation at 5 p.m. Nov. 15 at the hospice community center, 1011 Waianuenue Ave.

“It is important to know grief is normal, and that there are positive ways to manage the pain, while still honoring the person that is gone,” Hough said.
The presentation will focus on learning positive coping strategies, as well as encourage participants to create new rituals and traditions that build bridges from the past into the present. The gathering will conclude with the making of a commemorative art project.
The free presentation is open to all who have experienced the loss of a loved one. RSVP no later than Nov. 14 by calling 969-1733.
