Plush patrol
Emily Bartlett-Henry, left, Roxanne Bolden and Sam Nagasawa, far right, of Aloha Independent Living Hawaii and Hawaii Police Department officers hold some of the more than 300 stuffed animals donated to the department in Hilo last week for officers to keep in their patrol vehicles to comfort keiki in need. Last year, the organization donated stuffed animals to the Keaau and Pahoa police stations. Aloha Independent Living Hawaii also aims to help educate officers about people with disabilities.
