Margaret Lee Blankenship, 91, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 17 at Hospice of Kona Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Centerville, Kan., she was a retired medical office manager and “golden member” of Kailua-Kona Seniors Club. Celebration of Life at a later date. Survived by sons, Sam (Sue Delovio) Blankenship of Ocean View and Tom Blankenship of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter, Sue (Darrel) Holdbrook of Kailua-Kona; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Raymond “Tommy” Thomas Mata Sr., 75, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 22 at Hospice of Kona Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Hilo, he was a retired maintenance worker for Jameson’s by the Sea and maintenance worker for the former Kona Surf Resort. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 2) at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Boat Harbor. Service at 11 a.m. Luncheon and scattering of ashes to follow. Loose flowers welcome.
