Born in Dill City, Okla., she was a retired extension home economist for the University of Hawaii at Manoa, former home service director for Hawaii Electric Light Co., member of Zonta Club of Hilo and Zonta International, national extension organizations, Piihonua Kumiai, volunteer for many community service organizations and Oklahoma State University alumna.
