Krystal Lee Allen, 36, of Hilo died Dec. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a receptionist at Kilauea Military Camp and former clerk at Hilo Medical Center. Celebration of life 3 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 16) at The House Hilo, 2282 Kanoelehua Ave. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by life partner, Terry Allen; sons, Terrcin Allen and Tevfin Allen; parents, Royden and Lynda Suzuki; sisters, Katherine (Jason) DeKemper and Krystine (Tyler) Balucan; brother, Kurtis Suzuki; nephews and nieces. William “Bill” Bernard Rourke Jr., 86, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 2 at Hospice of Kona Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Chicago, he was a professor of aerospace science at Metropolitan State University in Denver, retired U.S. Marine Corps aviator and Vietnam War veteran, U.S. Navy submariner during the Korean War, founding member of Evergreen and Mountain Foothills chapters of Rotary International and member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Service at noon Thursday, Dec. 28, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. No flowers. Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Survived by wife, Mary Lee Rourke of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Ellen Rourke Wardrop of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; sons, Bill (Pam) Rourke of Senoia, Ga., and Brian (Georgina) Rourke of Evergreen, Colo.; sisters, Patricia (Joe) Peraino of Chicago and Judy McKenna of Clinton, Iowa; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Juanito Valencia Velez, 76, of Honolulu died Dec. 6. Born in the Philippines, he was a macadamia nut harvester.
