Police charged a Hawi couple with numerous offenses relating to a Monday shooting incident and standoff with police.
Britany Wolf, 27, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, fourth-degree property damage, two counts each of first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree reckless endangering and six firearms offenses.
Her bail was set at $303,000.
Lucas Wolf, also 27, was charged with second-degree terroristic threatening, accomplice to first-degree reckless endangering, accomplice to first-degree terroristic threatening and two firearms offenses.
His bail was set at $26,000 dollars.
Both remain in custody pending their initial appearances, scheduled for Thursday in Kona District Court.
According to police, the couple’s landlord, a 65-year-old man, attempted to evict the couple Monday morning from his property on Alaalae Road in Hawi.
Britany Wolf allegedly fired a shot, that missed, and the landlord called police. Lucas Wolf was arrested upon officers’ arrival, but Britany Wolf allegedly hold up in a vehicle and told officers she had a gun.
Police activated the Special Response Team — the department’s SWAT unit — and called in crisis negotiators. Two more shots were reportedly fired by Britany Wolf during the standoff, one allegedly hitting the SRT’s BearCat armored vehicle.
Britany Wolf surrendered and was arrested at about 5:11 p.m. Monday. Police say a search warrant turned up a shotgun, a rifle, a semi-automatic pistol., ammunition and spent casings from the vehicle.
