Jennie L.K. Anderson, 76, of Waimea died Jan. 14 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in North Kohala, she was a retired bus driver for Oahu Transit Services. Celebration of life 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 24) at Kahua Ranch, 59-564 Kohala Mountain Road, Kohala. Oahu visitation 5:30-9 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Kaneohe. Visitation again at the church at 10:30 a.m.-noon Friday, March 2. Mass at noon. Burial 2 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Charles “Fuchu” Tsutomu Hara, 88, of Hilo died Feb. 1 at Hawaii Care Choices’ Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, member of Lincoln Wreckers Golf Club, Piopio Bears, Hilo Badminton Club and other organizations. Visitation 9:30-11 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 25) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Ellen Chiyoko Minaai Nakagawa, 91, of Hilo died Dec. 31 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Hilo, she was a retired elementary school teacher, co-owner of the Seaside Restaurant and Aqua Farm and member of Hilo Meishoin Buddhist Temple.
