He tied his career-high with 27 kills on .458 hitting in a four-set series-finale loss to the UC Irvine on Sunday. …
This week’s matches against Concordia-Irvine of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation mark the first meetings between the teams. …
The Eagles (8-6) have won three matches in a row, including a five-set victoryagainst Northridge of the Big West in which Concordia erased six match points.

The skinny: In the grand reopening of the renovated Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium, Kamalani Dung ran her record to 8-0 with 4 1/3 innings of one-hit ball, striking out eight, and Mikayla Coelho hit a two-run home run off of Dana Thomsen as the Golden Bears improved to 16-1.
Thompsen (3-4) worked five innings for the Wahine (6-7).
