The Hawaii senior’s first career Big West Player of the Week honor, announced Monday, is more than good enough to earn this accolade as well.
Ka’aua, a Hilo High graduate, celebrated his 23rd birthday in grand fashion, hitting .462 (6-for-13) with six RBIs in a four-game sweep against Illinois State.
He posted a career-high four RBIs in a 7-6 victory Saturday and is hitting .302.
