Nancy Shigeko Matsui, 86, of Hilo died March 3 at a care home in Hilo. Born in Pepeekeo, she was a retired salesperson. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by husband, Nobuo Matsui of Hilo; son, Michael (Marcia) Matsui of Hilo; daughters, Diane (Erwine) Kubo and Kathleen (Craig) Yamamoto of Hilo; sister-in-law, Tokino Hirata of Kona; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Bruce Cochise McCullough, 67, of Hilo died March 7 at home. Born in Logan, Utah, he was resident manager for Wailuku Park Townhomes and other apartment complexes, handyman, hazardous chemicals truck driver, U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran, sailor, scuba diver, windsurfer and photographer. Michael Kaipo Daniels, 64, of Waimea died Feb. 24 at his Kailua-Kona home. Born in Honolulu, he was a musical entertainer and chef in Alaska. Charles Chuckey Hose, 53, of Kailua-Kona died March 10 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Kealakekua, he was a rock wall builder. Lucy K. Kapule “Lady” Kawamoto, 85, of Honalo died Feb. 12 in Kailua-Kona. Born in Kahauloaiki (Napoopoo), she was retired from the dietary section of Kona Community Hospital, volunteered for the American Cancer Society and was a member of Kuakini Hawaiian Civic Club. Celebration of life 10 a.m. Saturday, April 7, at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Clubhouse, Honokohau Harbor in Kailua-Kona. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
