Hawaii Electric Light Co. reports about 2,100 customers experienced a power interruption shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday after high winds apparently toppled a pine tree, which fell onto and broke lines near Kynnersley Road in North Kohala.
Power was restored to most customers by 8:42 p.m., HELCO said. The remaining 140 customers were restored at 12:45 a.m. when crews completed repairs.
