Since it takes an entire crew working in unity to set a Moku O Hawaii record, this week six paddlers are honored – Nate Kaluhiwa, Kyle Keamo, Kama Leeloy, Jose Lizardi, Tyler Makaiwi and Keahi Warfield.

They steered their Keaukaha canoe to a new mark of 7 minutes, 24.02 seconds in the men’s freshman race Saturday at the Founders Regatta, breaking their record set the previous week.

Warfield is Keaukaha’s president, so he gets a crack at the five questions.
