Police are seeking leads on the whereabouts of a person reported missing, while another person who was missing in an unrelated case was found dead Tuesday.
The still-missing person, 29-year-old Hilo resident Samantha McVay, was last seen in Hilo. She’s described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 135 pounds, with shoulder-length red hair.
The deceased person, 23-year-old North Kohala man Israel Victorino-Rabang, was found Tuesday morning in Hawi. He was last seen at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, riding a skateboard on Kumakua Street in Hawi.
According to a police news release, no foul play is suspected in Victorino-Rabang’s death.
