Police are investigating a shooting incident reported Thursday night on Highway 11 in Glenwood near the intersection of North and South Glenwood roads.

Officers responding to the 9:15 p.m. shooting report discovered a 32-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds to the abdomen and leg. The victim was taken to Hilo Medical Center by ambulance and, at last report, was in stable condition.

Police think the shot came from a white sedan that fled in an unknown direction. No suspects have been identified at this time.
