Portion of Highway 11 closed by police

UPDATE 11:42 a.m.: Highway 11 will remain closed until at least 12:30 p.m., according to police.

Volcano Highway (Route 11) is closed between Ala Loop and Kulani Road while police investigating fatal shooting of officer, police said this morning. The closure is expected to last until about 10 a.m. Traffic is being bypassed using Stainback Highway.
