Highway 190 closed near Waikoloa as brush fire burns

Multiple road closures are in effect as a brush fire continues to burn near Waikoloa.

Areas closed to traffic are Highway 190 from Daniel K. Inouye Highway and Old Saddle Road, and Waikoloa Road from Highway 190 to Paniolo Drive.

According to West Hawaii Today, about 75 percent of the 5,300-acre fire was contained Thursday morning.
