All of the county’s absentee walk-in voting sites, including those at the Pahoa and Pahala community centers, will be open today now that the threat of Hurricane Hector has passed, according to the Office of Elections.
The Pahoa and Pahala sites were closed Wednesday as the hurricane moved toward the south of the island, but kept going without making landfall.
Absentee walk-in voting around the island also ends today. Primary election day is Saturday (Aug. 11).
Be sure to vote in the primary.
